The other day I bought an eggplant with a nose (as you do). It needed eyes and a mouth, so we gave it those as well.
My eggplant, my friend.
Alas, poor Yorrick!
As you can see, Ben and I got a little Shakespearean on that last one.

But did you eat him in the end? Did that feel weird after knowing him so well? And what does one cook with an eggplant anyway? I've never been sure. I have secret eggplant-envy because I look at them longingly but have no idea what I'd do with one if I took it home. Oh wait - now I do! I could make a face....
ROFLOL and that is the first time I have used that acronym in the comments on this blog so you can see you really did make me Laugh Out Loud!
Yes, I'm afraid to say we did eat (cannibalise?) Mr. Yorrick. I love eggplants, but my children, sad to say, do not. Moussaka, eggplant dip, marinated eggplant ...
I use eggplants to fill out the meat in my bulk bolognaise sauce (which I always have on hand in my freezer) - you don't know it's there, but it makes your spag bog cheaper and healthier.

I keep coming back to look at these pictures. Particularly the last one. Great stuff!
